Eventhough we will be in Florida, we will be CHEERING for our Chicago Bears in the Super Bowl.

Right now, I like to...
I like to play kitchen. I dump out all my plastic food all over the floor. ( I haven't quite figured out how to put it back yet.) Mama has her stove in the kitchen, and I have one too!
I also like to make fish faces right now. Here I am making one...

spitting...
Guess who has adopted the oh-so-lovely act of spitting out her food when she doesn't want it?
Two days ago, instead of dutifully eating her peas & carrots and her baby cereal, she decided to try spitting them out instead. And the kid spits with force. After wiping mushed peas, carrots, and cereal off my face and glasses, I tried again...with the same result. After some stern "NO spitting!" commands, I feebily hoped this was just a one time thing. Sure enough, yesterday she did the same thing. She spit out her cereal and broke into a big smile and giggle. It was SO tempting to just laugh at my mischievious little munchkin, but I had to stone my face so she wouldn't think this was a fun new game. Keep your fingers crossed that I can get the "no spitting food" rule across sometime in the near future!

Everyone loves pizza!
So, after a nice big dinner of cooked carrots, beef, beans, and baby cereal, Caroline did her baby sign for "all done". Out of the highchair and into the family room we went. She sat playing as I walked into the kitchen to put her dishes into the sink to soak. Literally 15 seconds later, I walked back into the family room to find her fists grasping something and red stuff all around her mouth. I rushed toward her to make sure that it was nothing harmful... And just what has she gotten her little mitts on? It's the strip of french bread pizza that I had brought in with me 15 seconds earlier. She had reached the middle of the coffee table and had grabbed my last strip of pizza. She had obviously gnawed at the top of it, getting sauce and topping and chunks of bread into and all over her mouth. Then she had held tightly to the rest of it, fingers squeezing it into mush, while she proceeded to get down from the coffee table and crawl across our nice family room rug (hopefully sauce side up) toward the kitchen.
This is why I sometimes call her my little bandit! It's the little stories like this that just have to make you laugh.

Babies and books
I've learned so much these past few weeks. I now say "ma ma" when I want Mama. I also say Da da, Ba ba (for bottle) and Ba for Ball. I love to play with my baby dolls. Right now I call them "na na". And I love to read books. My favorites are Ten Little Ladybugs, The Hungry Caterpillar, and Goodnight Moon.

Oops, I did it again...
"Oops, I did it again...
I peed on the floor
Not once but twice.
Oh Baby, Baby.
Oops I christened my carpet
and the bathroom ru-u-u-ug.
I'm not that innocent."
