One year doctor's appointment
Caroline got a clean bill of health from the doctor at her one-year appointment. Yeah!!!
She continues to be a little peanut...18 lbs (5 - 10 percentile) and 29 3/4 inches (50 - 75 percentile).
Despite being small, she's actually a great eater. She eats all kinds of meats, vegetables, and fruits. Here's a good tip I learned from another Mom from our Gymboree class - buy Chunky vegetable or vegetable + meat soup to feed your toddler. You heat up the soup as normal, and then just drain out the liquid. You're left with a variety of tasty cooked vegetables and soft meats. Caroline LOVES them!

Why God makes babies cute...
Why does God make babies so cute? Because there are days when you are just trying to change a diaper, and because of squirming, kicking, and the luck-of-the-draw, disgustingly stinky poop sometimes ends up on the legs, back, stomach, etc. of the baby, in addition to the changing table, the pad, the onesie, the sleeper, your hands, and miscellaneous other fun places. And when all you are trying to do is run the bath water to make sure all the poop has been cleaned off, you find a puddle of something on the bathroom floor by the tub that you know isn't bath water.
So...potty training starts when?

First trip to Florida
We took the "boo" on her first plane ride on a trip to Florida. The weather, unfortunately, didn't exactly cooperate the way we wanted it to. It poured rain the entire first day, and then the next 3 days were cold (cold for Florida, that is - in the 40s and 50s). On the day we left, the sun came out and it turned out to be a beautiful day. We were able to get out into the sun for a bit before we left. We took Caroline to the beach where she joyfully played in the sand and crawled around like a little bandit collecting beach booty. We (a.k.a Kevin) took her swimming in the pool. Here are some pics from the trip...
