We have started the yearly tradition of going to the "Wings Over Waukegan" air show each September. I love this air show and can't recommend it enough to families with children (or adults) that like airplanes. You get to sit right in front of the runway and can see all the planes take off and land, in addition to all of their flying stunts. It truly is awesome. I didn't get many pictures because my phone was acting up and my camera battery died. (We also got stuck in a pretty bad thunderstorm and got caught in the pouring rain). Even with the bad weather, sopping wet clothes, and a 4 year old that FREAKED OUT when the rain and thunder hit, everyone would still say it was a great show.

Soccer!
The boys both started soccer for the first time this fall. Austin is on the "San Jose Earthquakes" with other 4 year olds. He loves it and is doing really well!
He even scored his first goal!
Clayton is on the "Chicago Fire" with other kindergartners. It is amazing how much more challenging the kindergarten games are than the preschool games. Most of the other boys on Clayton's team have played for a year or two before this, so it is a lot more challenging to keep up with both the skill and the speed. It is definitely hard for him, but I am so proud of Clayton for trying, learning, and giving it his best shot.

First Day of School!
On August 22nd, Caroline started 2nd grade and Clayton started kindergarten at St Joseph School.
So far, they've been all smiles when they come home and are adjusting beautifully to their new school. I am so proud of you Caroline and Clayton!
Yesterday, on September 5th, Austin started his final year of Christ Lutheran Preschool. It's extra special because he has the same teachers that Caroline and Clayton had, so they've watched all three kids "grow up". I love you my baby boy!

Planes
I took the kids to see their first movie in a theatre, Disney's Planes. (C and C had gone once with their grandma to a kids animal documentary and Caroline had gone one other time with a friend.) It was Austin's first trip to a theatre and when we walked in, he exclaimed "Wow, that's the biggest TV screen I've ever seen!" After sitting in the theatre for a few minutes, while the screen was still dark, Austin yelled out "Hey, does anyone have the remote?"
The kids did like the movie. Austin did sob when Dusty crashed in the ocean and had to sit in my lap for the rest of the movie, but outside of that part, they had a great time!
Church outing and dinner with friends
Christ Church held another summer-end event at the amazing Banner Day Camp. We got to picnic, watch baptisms, swim, and play on their amazing grounds.
"Sarahline"!
A fabulous dinner with good friends - the Harveys!
