St Patrick's Day

Since none of us care for corned beef and cabbage, we opted again for corned beef hash.   The kids and I made pretzel shamrocks as our "St Patrick's Day" activity, and both Caroline and Clayton wrote short stories about leprechauns.

Clayton was very proud of his story and even took it to school to read to his class.

"Pi" Day

We celebrated "Pi day" (3/14) with neighbors and pie!  Bacon-leek pie, spaghetti pie, and banoffee (banana toffee) pie. Sadly, I forgot to get pictures of the group!

Mother- Daughter Tea Party

Christine and Macaire hosted a fabulous mother-daughter tea party. Such a fun group!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Caroline and Kevin attended the St Joseph Daddy Daughter Dance at the end of February.
How CUTE does my little girl look?  I thought she looked so darling, I wanted to freeze her in time!
A special corsage for a special evening.

And the best picture of all, taken by Mrs Krupka at the dance!

FROZEN party

Caroline chose a "Frozen" theme for her birthday party this year. Since we are all really into the "Frozen" movie and soundtrack, it was a really fun theme to work with.

The girls started off doing Frozen coloring sheets and cutting out Anna and Elsa paper dolls.

The girls then painted white glittery snowflake ornaments...
and made "frost paintings" on black paper with epsom salt paint.
Snowflake cake
We held a "snowman relay" that was a big hit.

Freeze dance/musical snowflakes

Each girl got a Anna/Elsa fleece shawl to take home.

It was such a fun party! I had fun planning it, and I think the girls had fun too!

After seeing how much Caroline loved her shawl, the boys wanted one too. So I made more "boyish" versions for them.
