Girl Scout snack badge

I hosted a Brownie troup "snack badge" meeting where we learned all about healthy snacks. I also taught the girls how to bake chocolate chip cookies.  The girls did such a good job baking!

Bible Blast Finale

The kids had their Bible Blast finale and celebrated reading through the entire Children's Picture Bible.
They all got trophies, and Caroline and Clayton got "third place" trophies for their age group. I was really proud of them!

Spring staycation

For our spring staycation, we...
went "trampolining" with cousins Kellan and Makenna. (Somehow, I never got a picture of all of them!)

We painted Monet's water lilies...

The kids decided to make crowns for their lovies...(and this one was all their idea!)

We took a metra train ride to Glenview and then had lunch at Egg Harbor. 

I had the kids write/draw journal entries on their excursion. 

On Friday of our spring break week, we took a family trip to Kenosha and checked out their Dinosaur Museum 

 We saw dinosaur boes and skeletons and learned more about dinosaurs.

 We did some dinosaur crayon rubbings...

 Then we checked out the Kenosha Publis museum.
They had a quilting exhibit.

 They had a lot of lifesize dioramas of what life was like in Wisconsin from the ice age forward...

We planned to check out a local restaurant, but Miss Caroline was feeling quite ill :( 

(Poor thing ended up staying home from school for 2 days that next week!)

All in all, it was a fun staycation!
