Fourth of July

I painted Caroline's nails red, white, and blue with american flags on the thumbs and big toes. 

On July 3rd, we went to the Wilmette fireworks at Gillson Park. The kids loved all the carnival games and prizes.  We had a picnic dinner with the Cordovas, then saw an amazing display of fireworks.

We ended the Independence Day celebration with a barbeque at Kevin's parents house.

One of our fans broke, so I thought I would make Clayton's day by letting him take it apart. He was thrilled!

Kevin's birthday and 11th Anniversary!

The family celebrated Kevin's birthday at The Hole in the Wall. It's one of Kevin's favorite restaurants and it was so fun to take the kids there too!

Kevin and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary in Evanston at Chef's Station.  What a wonderful 11 years it's been!

Little League Finale

After a long season, Clayton finally finished little league. He learned a lot, but also was very happy for the season to be over.

A favorite summer tradition - strawberry picking at Stades!

Besides popping them in our mouths like candy, we came home and made strawberry shortcake and strawberry milkshakes!
