First cereal...
I had my first cereal. I think it's pretty good. After that, Grandma gave me a bath. This "eating cereal" stuff is messy business!

We took Caroline on her first trip to Bay View, Michigan. We stayed at "The Farm" with Great Grandma (GG) and Grandma BB. While on our trip, she had her first swimming pool lesson, and her first taste of rice cereal. Caroline loved the water. She also loved being at the cottage. She is now fascinated by different tectures and fabrics (the wicker rocking chair, GG's spotted blouse, etc.)

Independence Day!
For Independence Day, we went to the Lake with Daddy's family...It was my first big car trip! I also went swimming for the first time. It was fun and I didn't fuss one bit. Daddy videoed my first swim. If Mama can figure out how to post mini-movies, she'll post the clip here.

First family picnic
Today, we went to Independence Grove for a family picnic. It was so much fun. We played and had lunch on a blanket. I love to look up at the trees blowing in the wind and talk to them. I coo and coo at them as the leaves rustle back to me.

Happy First Father's Day Dad!
Happy First Father's Day Dad! We celebrated by having grandma, grandpa, Uncle Taylor, Boppy, Uncle Jim, Aunt Kim, and cousins Sarah and Alyssa over for lunch! I got a little overwhelmed with all of the people and wanted to stay with mama. I warmed up later on though and grandma BB fed me by bottle.

It is summer and I get to be OUTSIDE!! It's great! I like going for walks in my stroller and playing in my backyard.

I took a bath in my baby tub for the first time! (I've taken baths in it before, but always on top of a hammock attachment that goes on top of the tub.) This time, I got to sit in the tub. I loved kicking my legs and watching the water splash!

Babbling...
I am saying more and more sounds now and am really discovering my voice. I had my first sleepover with mama at grandma's house. Mama was so glad that I did so well and slept! (I didn't want her to feel too lucky though, so I decided not to sleep the next night when we were back home.) My Godmother Erica gave me a little pink piggy bank. I surprised everyone by figuring out how to press the nose to make the piggy snort and sing.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!
Happy Mother's Day! It was my mama's first mother's day and Daddy made it a very special day for her. We went over to grandma's house and saw lots of aunts and uncles and cousins. It was fun! Mama thinks I look like a little doll-baby in this picture. What do you think?

12 weeks!
I can't believe it! I'm 12 weeks old! I love to suck on my fists and I smile at mama and daddy all the time when we're playing.
I'm a lucky girl. My grandmas come to play with me at my house! (Mom says she's lucky too because then she can do errands all by herself!)
