Granny, laundry, and playtime

Well, let's see...what have I been up to this week. Well - I got to meet Granny for the first time (Daddy's grandma). I got to spend some time with Grandma BB and Grandpa at their house. I also helped Mama with the laundry. And I played, of course. I'm only 6 months after all!

Oh yes - I had my 6 month doctor's appointment and I weighed 14 lb, 6 oz. I also grew to 26 1/2 inches. I'm getting big!

I love my baths!

Bath time is so much fun. I LOVE to kick and splash! And I love to cuddle in the bunny towel Aunt Meredith got me. Thanks Aunt Mere!

Happy 6 month birthday Caroline!

Caroline turned 6 months old today! We sang happy birthday to her over half a candle in her baby food. "What? No cake? All I get is mushy bananas?!" We then went out and celebrated at our friend Erica's tropical fiesta! "Wait a minute - it's MY birthday and I get to go to bed while you get to go to a party? No fair!"

Caroline loves her books, but I'm not sure she understands their true purpose yet.

Caroline's new favorite toy is the sink. She loves to feel the spray on her fingers and her toes.

Temper!

Yesterday, our sweet little baby introduced us to something we haven't yet seen from her: her temper! Instead of the mild fussing we were used to when she was unhappy, she grimaced and angrily spewed a loud "na na na na na na!" at us. Think temper tantrum infant-style. She did the same thing this morning when I tried to feed her rice cereal instead of the desired applesauce. Uh oh...what are we in for now!

Almost 6 months old

I can't believe I"m almost 6 months old! Hmmm...What are my favorite things right now... I love playing in the sink and splashing my feet in the water. I love chewing on everything - my feet, spoons, my toys, my parents, fabric, just
about everything.


I also love being outside. When I'm being a crab, mama takes me outside and almost instantly, I become happy again.

Fruits and Veggies!

Mama feeds me fruit and veggie baby food at lunch and dinner now. I LOVE squash and pears. Mmmmmmm...

Bare Naked Lady

Here I am hanging out in the buff. Right after this picture, I had my first taste of vegetables. I tried some carrots. I made a face, but still ate them. I think I prefer my rice-oatmeal cereal, but I just might give the veggies another shot.

From 2 weeks to 11 weeks to 5 months!

Tummy

I LOVE being on my tummy now. Mama puts me on my back and I instantly roll to my stomach. I kick my legs and move my arms. I am so anxious to start crawling. There is just so much to see. I love to eat everything too...all my toys, my burp cloths, my blankets, baskets, coasters...pretty much anything.

Clear Lake!

We all spent the week at Clear Lake vacationing with Daddy's family. I got to spend some great quality time with my cousins, grandparents, and Aunts & Uncles.

Swimming in the baby pool!

I went for my first swim in a baby pool...

First cereal...

I had my first cereal. I think it's pretty good. After that, Grandma gave me a bath. This "eating cereal" stuff is messy business!

We took Caroline on her first trip to Bay View, Michigan. We stayed at "The Farm" with Great Grandma (GG) and Grandma BB. While on our trip, she had her first swimming pool lesson, and her first taste of rice cereal. Caroline loved the water. She also loved being at the cottage. She is now fascinated by different tectures and fabrics (the wicker rocking chair, GG's spotted blouse, etc.)

Independence Day!

For Independence Day, we went to the Lake with Daddy's family...It was my first big car trip! I also went swimming for the first time. It was fun and I didn't fuss one bit. Daddy videoed my first swim. If Mama can figure out how to post mini-movies, she'll post the clip here.
