First Bike ride at Independence Grove

Now that all the kids ride "big kid bikes", we thought we'd take our first family bike ride.  It was so cool to all be able to ride somewhere together. We only made it to Riverside park a few blocks away, but it's a start! 
A few weeks later, we drove the kids' bikes to Independence Grove and they got to ride the trails there. 

Strawberry Picking!

We went strawberry picking at Stades again this year.  The kids LOVE to do this and it had become a summer tradition!

We came home with 4 baskets full of berries, WAY more than we could eat in the few days that they last. So, I tried strawberry freezer jam for the first time.  It was really easy and quick and I really liked the fresh taste of the jam.

First Trip to Clear Lake

We took our first summer trip to Clear Lake, Indiana at the end of June.

The kids had a BLAST with their cousins.

 There was a lot of tubing...

 

Even Austin tried tubing for the first time!

 

There were lots of boat rides and a few ski runs.

 

Lots of sand play on the beach

 and fun on the raft...

 Austin took his first jet ski ride and LIKED it!  Woo Hoo!!!

 

 

We tried out the water balloon launcher ...

 And Alyssa threw us a tea party.

 And of course, there is the trip to Caruso's for house special and banana cream pie!
