Clayton's favorite toy this Christmas...he got two new cell phones that he had in hand all day! And Caroline got an Ariel the Mermaid doll and another little dolly she named Clara.
We brought Caroline to the Christmas Eve Candlelight services at Christ church. She sat on my lap and helped hold the candle. The congregation sang Silent Night with the church a glow from all the candles. Seeing the flickering lights in the dim church and hearing her little voice singing Silent Night along with everyone made me cry!
Twas the Night before Christmas and all through the house... ...the children were nestled all snug in their wee little beds... ...the stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
...and Santa's elves were up until 2:00 am putting together the play kitchen Santa brought the children for Christmas!
'BB had her annual cookie decorating party with the Ryans. Caroline had a great time decorating cookies, but maybe went a bit overboard on some of the sprinkles/colored sugar!
No, Clayton didn't help decorate. But here he is doing one of his favorite things - turning on and off the light.
We didn't visit Santa last year, so this was Clayton's first time seeing him! It was so cute to see the kids on Santa's knee. Both did great and there were no tears or fears!
We decorated gingerbread houses with little friends George, Andrew, and Sarah. It was fun seeing the older ones decorate the houses in their own creative ways and the younger ones sneak licks of frosting and M&Ms! (Yes, one of the pictures is of Clayton "discovering" M&Ms for the first time. He thought they were just about the best things in the world!)
