I got the opportunity to teach Clayton's kindergarten class a mini art class about Keith Haring.
They were enthusiastic and adorable and created their own "Keith Haring-like" pictures.
The cutest moment was when I was explaining that Keith Haring's art was abstract are. I asked the class if they knew what "abstract" meant. One little girl eagerly raised her hand and said "I know. I know. We use it when we're cooking." I was a little puzzled. Then she went on saying "Yeah - we use vanilla abstract when we make cookies." All of the adults couldn't help but chuckle.
