Wow - it is an event! I believe it has a following and enthusiasts with the gear and costumes travel around the country participating in these civil war reenactments. There were women dressed in period dresses making lace; men forging iron tools, others cobbling authentic shoes. A whole "village" of tents were set up with people cooking over the fire.
There were civil war era toys that kids could play with, a speech given by "Abraham Lincoln", and an actual battle reenactment with soldiers rifles, and cannons.
