So, I hear there's this man named Santa...

"So, I hear there's this man named Santa
who brings toys to good little boys and girls..."

"Hmmm...I better start making my Christmas list.
Let's see what toys look tasty in this catalog..."

Libertyville Tree Lighting

I took the little Boo to the Christmas tree lighting in downtown Libertyville. She LOVES looking at Christmas lights. She gets so excited...waving her hands up and down and squealing!

My first Thanksgiving!

"This is my first Thanksgiving and I'm a little nervous. There are going to be lots of people here."

"I think you look pretty friendly, but just in case, I'll sit back a little..."

"OK...I'm getting the hang of this. My name is Caroline. I'm pleased to meet you."

"Yeah! This is lots of fun!"

"Mmmm...dinner is ready? I'm starving!"

"Got my turkey bib on. Bring on those mashed taters!"

"I had a great time. Thanks everyone! I love you!"

9 month appointment & sketti

Caroline had her 9 month doctor's appointment today and she got a clean bill of health!
She is still a little peanut weighing in at 16 lbs 6 oz. (10th percentile), but she has been on the 10-25% growth curve since birth so she's staying consistent. She was a trooper through pokes and prods, 2 shots, and a finger prick to take some blood.
We celebrated her good appointment by giving her her first spaghetti dinner. It was met with rave reviews!

Happy Birthday Princess Alyssa!

We went to cousin Alyssa's "princess" birthday party. We all dressed up like princesses. It was so much fun!

Oh no! More embarrassing tub pictures!

Yo-Baby!

I had yogurt for the first time this week. Yo-baby! And my favorite food? Cheerios, of course!
My new discovery this week? The door stops. You bat at them and they go "boing boing boing". They are oh so much fun to play with.

Almost 9 months...

Here, you can really see my first tooth!
!
Did I tell you that I have learned how to climb stairs? And one of my favorite toys is a plastic Jewel bag. YEs - I am very closely supervised when I play with one, but I get so much joy shaking it around and hearing its crinkle sound.

I can't believe that in less than 1 week, I will be 9 months old!

Growing with Mr Bear - 37 weeks

Here I am growing with Mr. Bear at 37 weeks. If you look closely, you can see my first tooth!

Feeling better...

I'm feeling a little bit better. It was a surprisingly warm 65 degrees today, so mama took me to the park! It felt good to get some fresh air.

The elections...

I voted today, but I'm really nervous about the outcome of the elections...

What!?? The republicans lost control of the House? Oh dear...

That darn first cold...

Well, the little one has caught her first cold. The poor thing doesn't know what has hit her. She knows she doesn't feel well. She knows that her nose is running and running and running and mama keeps wiping her nose (something that she fights tooth and nail!) She knows that she wants to suck her thumb for comfort, but that when she does, she can't breathe. She knows she is tired and wants to go to sleep, but needs her thumb to settle herself down...and thus we get into the not being able to breathe again. We just feel so badly for her. :(
It was a long night. She woke up every hour or two, upset and crying.

37 weeks

Let's see...what are the latest developments in the life of Caroline. She just learned how to clap her hands. She opens her fists and claps her hands together. It is very cute to witness. The litle monkey-girl also can climb up the stairs (with Mama right behind her, of course.)
Here she is snoozin' with Daddy...

We went to visit the Mann twins this weekend and aren't the CUTE!?

"Real" Halloween

OK, so the other bunny pictures were actually taken before Halloween.
Here are some picture that were actually taken on my first Halloween. Eventhough I was a little cranky with teething pain, I got to go visit Daddy and mama's coworkers at work.
I "trick-or-treated" at our neighbors house and got to chew on come candy (with the wrapper on.) As a special treat, I got to eat some soft pumpkin cookies. Mmmmm...my first cookies. Hello sweet tooth! Here I come!
