Mother-Daughter Book Club - The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe

We hosted a mother-daughter book club brunch featuring the C.S.Lewis book The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. The girls had fun making 3D snowflakes and a paper craft wardrobe.

Shortly after the book club, the kids and I watched the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe movie.  It was so cute. After the movie was over, I found Caroline and Austin clad in their "wardrobe-wear" and practicing fighting off beasts.

Halloween!

Trick-or-treating in CHicagoland... it is always cold and wet.  And this year was no different. The kids still came away with a "healthy" stash of candy though!

St Joseph Class Halloween Parties

Ms Christerson's Fourth Grade Class

Miss Block's First Grade Class

Miss Renton's 2nd Grade Class

I got to help out in Clayton's classroom for their Halloween party. Games, a cute craft, and a fun snack!

And look at my little elf nephew Wells.
How cute is he!!!

Carving Jack-o-Lanterns

They all carved their OWN jack-o-lanterns this year.  All I did was help scoop the goop and get the top cut.

Clayton really wanted to carve the words "Happy Halloween" on his pumpkin. I told him it would be way too hard to carve all those letters, but he was up for the challenge.

Pretty impressive!

Austin's note to the squirrels

After finding that the squirrels had been eating our pumpkins, Austin thought he'd take matters into his own hands.

Halloween Cub Scout Pack Party

The Cub Scout Pack 60 had a Halloween party, complete with Gary Kanter doing his magic show. The kids had a blast!
