23 and a half weeks...

Well, I've certainly grown a lot more quickly with this pregnancy. At 23 and a half weeks, I'm already much bigger than I was at this time with Caroline. It's scary to think that I have 16 more weeks to grow. It's already getting cumbersome to put Caroline in her crib, her carseat, etc. I don't know how I'm going to do it at the end of my pregnancy!

We went to the park again on Sunday. Eventhough the boo had a runny nose, we just couldn't resist being out in the nice weather.

Wow...70 degrees!

It was 70 degrees here in Libertyville today. Hurray! We took a family trip to a big park by our house. Caroline LOVED playing ball, picking dandelions, and just running around.

Growing with Mr. Bear - 14 months

The eating wars

Since she started eating solid foods, Caroline has eaten almost everything we've given to her - grapefruit, olives, salmon, black beans...(in addition to the regular stuff - cheerios, applesauce, cooked carrots, etc.) All of a sudden, everything she has liked and eaten for months is suddenly taboo. She won't eat any vegetables - even the good-tasting ones strained from soup. She won't eat any meats or fishes - even her favorite- bologna. Tonight, the only thing we could get her to eat was some mandarin oranges, about 1/3 of a banana, cheerios, and a few goldfish crackers. It is so frustrating to see her refuse all of the foods that she has hungrily gobbled up for months! We are hoping and praying that she will outgrow this little stage quickly!

Outside!

We've all been a little under the weather, so we've been cooped up in the house. Today, we ventured OUTSIDE for a little fresh air. Boy, did it feel good! Caroline LOVES being outside...watching the birds, picking up sticks, leaves, and pinecones, cruising on the grass...

sounds...

Caroline continues to repeat more and more sounds and her versions of words. She regularly says "ba ba" (bottle), Mi Mi (what she calls her stuffed bunny), Da Da, Ma Ma, "bee" (for a bee), "bee" (for her new favorite - her shiny blue necklace of beads), "poo poo", "nigh nigh", "no", "baby", "boo boo" (for blueberries), and "uh oh". She tries to repeat a lot of other sounds. It's so cool to see her listening and trying to repeat.
