Spring Staycation - part 3 Blue Harbor

We traveled to Sheboygen, Wisconsin to the Blue Harbor resort for a mini-vacation.  As far as waterparks go, this one is my favorite so far. It is smaller than some of the others we've been to, but the hotel and town are charming and there are beautiful views of Lake Michigan.

For dinner, we heeded several people's suggestion and headed to Il Ritrovo for authentic italian pizza.  It was fantastic!

The highlight of the hotel room was that the kids got their own little "boathouse" to sleep in.

Kevin, Caroline, Clayton, and I tried "surfing".

We loved Il Ritrovo so much, that we went back to its sister restaurant, Field to Fork, for lunch the next day.

Spring Staycation - part 2

Dr Seuss Day - We read a bunch of Dr, Seuss books and then I had the kids create their own nonsensical Dr Seuss creature.

We went to the Glacier Ice Arena for some ice skating. This was Austin's first time skating and he did a great job! The kids were thrilled when another school family was there that they could skate with.

Austin learns to ride a 2 -wheeler. Kevin and I didn't even teach him.  Caroline and Austin were outside and she came in telling me she had him try out a 2-wheeler, gliding first, and then trying to ride it, and he just did it!
