Retirement Party!

We went to a retirement party for Grandpa Ray(Boppy). We got to see all of Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Ray's friends, and Aunt Kim & Uncle Jim, and cousins Sarah and Alyssa.

First tooth!

Caroline broke her first tooth yesterday. On her bottom gum, the little dagger has poked through. Her first tooth! No pictures of it yet. Once it grows out a little more, we may be able to get a picture of her new toothy grin.

What a wonderful time in life...a lot of my friends are having babies. It is so wonderful to hear their stories and see pictures of their sweet faces.
Sarah has Leah, Michelle has Cayden, Dawn has Zach, Rona has Ella and new baby Anna, Carmela has Gabriela, Kathy has Owen, Michele has Gracie and Jack, and Erica is pregnant with twins!

Tights!

I just turned EIGHT months old on Thursday. Mama and Daddy can hardly believe I am already that old! Here I am in the groovy striped tights that Grandma got me.

Blue Eyes!

At almost 8 months, I think my eyes are going to stay blue! Yippee!

Would you believe it...snowing on October 12th? Yesterday was interesting...We have a wonderful nanny that watches Caroline on Wednesdays. Well, a bit of chaos struck as the fuse went out on her and in trying to flip the fuse back on, she accidentally turned on the burglar alarm. So as I am on a conference call with several people, including my client in Pittsburgh, she calls on the other line. I quickly put the conference call on hold and unbeknownst to the group, clicked over. I hear Rosie and I hear the burglar alarm blaring in the background. SHortly afterwards, the police came. Not a good day. Everything turned out OK, but it definitely brought my anxiety level up a little high!

The one and only Cheerios...

Well, Caroline tried Cheerios for the first time this morning. She could figure out how to pick up a cheerio, but then didn't quite get how to put it in her mouth. (Go figure - she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth except for the stuff that's actually food.)
Mama had to help out an put them in her mouth for her. She practiced chewing (really more like gumming) and came back for more.

Our house in the mist...

Fall has arrived. The air is full of that wonderful crisp autumn smell. Here's a picture of our house one foggy morning.

OK - I just learned how to do links on this site where a new window opens up. So, I thought I would post some of my favorite baby things. I took some exercise stroller classes with a group called StrollerStrides . It's this great group where moms get together with their babies and exercise via fast walks/jogs with their baby in the stroller (with weights and ab work in between). Unfortunately, the class is held right during Caroline's nap time, so we haven't gone as much as I would have liked.

We love Caroline's Bumbo Seat . It's a rubber chair that infants can sit in before they really know how to sit on their own. It's what we use to feed Caroline since she's still too little for her high chair. It's great for feeding her her baby food and it wipes up really easily!
