Clayton...

This is Clayton in all his quirky glory...

He is always with a cord or a wet vac. This is what my house and yard look like EVERY day.

Outside of playing with the wet vacs in the garage, his other new favorite activity is taking apart the swingset and creatively reconfiguring the swings.

Sometimes he is my little monster...

but he is always my lovable Clayton :)

I love Austin!

This little guy has really been capturing my heart this week. Slow down, Austin! Don't grow up too fast!

Pumpkinfest & Touch the Trucks

We took the kids to Libertyville's "Pumpkinfest" and "Touch the Trucks" day last weekend. They had a blast! They got to decorate pumpkin cookies at Lovin' Oven, color a Halloween picture at the Sub Depot, pick out a pumpkin from Cook Park, and make a candy corn tube at Casa Bonita.
And as for the truck s- they got to climb in and pretend to drive a fire truck, garbage truck, police truck, and a few others. Such fun!

Hopefully this is the only time they see the inside of a police car!

Cinderella Movie Night!

Caroline hosted her first movie night with her best friend, Sarah.
Here they are dressed as Cinderella (which is of course hidden under a blanket!), watching...you guessed it...Cinderella!

Austin!

I know I am biased, but I just LOVE this little munchkin! Watching his little toddler run, watching him break out in smiles of excitement ...it just doesn't get any better!

Adventures at Susanna Farms

I took the kids to Susanna Farms to get pumpkins this year. We loved it! It was just the place I was looking for. We went to Dider farm last year and it's a little too "hyped up" for me. (You have to buy expensive wristbands to get in and then the kids are distracted from pumpkins and "farm stuff" by carnival rides, giraffes and other non-farm animals, etc. ) Susanna was free to get in (of course you have to pay for hay rides, pumpkins, etc.) and was much more laid back. The kids loved looking at the farm animals, choosing pumpkins, and most of all - the kid corn maze! THey were all running full speed around each bend. I think we spent an HOUR running through the rows!

Indian Summer

The kids are very much enjoying playing outside during "Indian Summer"!
