Austin turns TWO!

A little over 2 years ago, on March 19th, my third child was born - Austin Michael. I can't believe it was TWO YEARS ago! My, how we've grown in these last two years!

Definitely a Daddy's Boy!

Cake! I'm not sure what's sweeter - the cake or Austin's smile!

Opening presents all by himself. "I do it!" he says.

Loving his choo choo book and moving James train ("Moo moo James" ).

And his favorite toy - garbage truck!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This St. Patrick's Day, the kids learned how St. Patrick used the shamrock to teach people about the holy trinity - one God with three parts, just like the shamrock - one leaf with three parts!
We also had green shamrock bagels (with green cream cheese, of coures) and made shamrock cookies. Yummy!

Trip to the theatre

Caroline and Clayton had a field trip to the Marriott Lincolnshire to see "How Can You Run WIth a Shell on your Back".
It was a really cute show! I think they both liked it. Although, it's tough to say which entertained Clayton more - the show or his theatre seat that went up and down!

Balloon walk

Last week, the weather finally turned nice enough to be OUTSIDE! Yeah!!! I organized a quick balloon hunt/walk for the kids. I blew up a few red balloons and went around the block tying them in different places. The kids and I then headed out for our walk with the added fun of searching for all the balloons. It was a really simple activity, but they had a blast and got tons of good exercise!

"We're Off!"

"Found the first balloon!"

"and the second!"

and on and on...!

Play date

We had a fun play date/pizza dinner with the Goetsch and Summy families. Let's see - 2 5-year olds, 2 3-and-a-half year olds, 2 2-and-a-half year olds, and 3 almost-2 year olds. It was happy chaos and the kids had a fun time playing together. I didn't have a chance to get any great pics, but here are a few showing the afternoon...

Thanks for coming Laura and Steph, Jackson, Cooper, Grant, Charlotte, Sophie, and Senya!

Ballet

It was parent watch week at ballet last week, so I got to view the class and take pictures and videos.
It was so fun to see them in action!

stir crazy

We are all getting a little stir crazy. I swear - some days we've played with every toy, played every game, done every activity, read tons of books, and there is STILL time in the day. I can't wait unti we can really stretch our legs and MOVE outside! We play legos and trains almost every day. And, of course, dress up.
Here is Caroline in her princess dress with princess Elizabeth.

And now Clayton is obsessed with being a UPS delivery man (in addition to a fireman).

The kids had a great time making a fort in the family room.
And then there was our puppet craft.
Hopefully soon, the posts will be all about outside activities!
