Trip to "the Lake"

We took our second trip to "the lake" in Indiana this past weekend. Caroline had a BLAST! She loved playing in the sand on the beach. She also loved swimming! She went fully underwater for the first time and it didn't bother her a bit. It looks like she's going to be our little fish! We got to spend time with Kevin's parents, sister and brother-in-law, and nieces, Sarah and Alyssa. The girls have their little game where Sarah and Alyssa will sing "Ring around the rosie...we all fall " and then point to Caroline who will shout "down!".

What's more fun than finding rocks and dropping them in the water, then taking them out, then putting them back in...again and again and again...

We took Caroline to the annual Libertyville carnival this past weekend. She was still too little to go on most of the rides, but she really liked being there and watching everyone else. Curiously enough, her favorite part of the whole fair was watching thebigger kids go down the huge slide they have set up.

It was such a beautiful day that we had a picnic at Independence Grove.

Caroline loves being outside. She loves to collect sticks, point out the flowers (or as she calls them,"wowies"), and point to all the bugs, which she calls "ee ee buh" (for "icky bug").
