Photo shoot at Arlington

 Eyes and freckles...

Arlington Racetrack

It's been a few years, so we decided to go check out the horse-racing at Arlington Racetrack. It was such fun. The kids had a blast watching the horses and picking out who they thought would win.

1st Family Mini Golf Outing

We had our first ever mini golf outing as a family in mid July.  Although there were tears and rants of frustration from all 3 of the kids at different points of the outing, they all said they loved it and wanted to do it again. It's amazing how much if affected them when they didn't get the ball into the hole in just a few shots. They've played sports in the past - soccer, baseball, gymnastics, etc, and they never seemed to show any competitive drive or real desire to get better at a sport. Then we go mini-golfing for fun and all of a sudden, it's like life or death if they don't make it in the hole. Despite all of their unanticipated reactions, I think everyone did enjoy themselves. Hopefully the next mini golf outing will have a little less drama!

Mama-daughter date and cousin time

The boys stayed a few extra days with Daddy at the lake, so Caroline and I got to have some girl time!
Sushi dinner for the girls!

We got to babysit and have a sleepover with cousins Kellan, Makenna, and Wells.  So fun!

Spotlight Camp and fun with Sarah

Caroline and her friend Sarah attended Spotlight Disney Remix camp for a week this summer. At the end of the week, they put on a show with both musical numbers and a few lines.

We also had a fun ice-cream and swimming play date after camp.
 I love these girls!

Springhill camp

Caroline and Clayton attended the amazing Springhill camp at Christ Church for a week this summer. They had a blast singing, water-sliding, playing gaga ball, rock-climbing, trampoline-jumping, and learning about God's virtues. What a fantastic camp!
At the end of the week, each child was presented with a virtue that the camp counselors saw in them. Clayton had the gift of boldness. (Hopefully this boldness will be used for good!)
Caroline was given the virtue of joy - that she was always smiling.
