Live Green Festival at Bowen Park - May 17

We attended the "Live Green" festival at Waukegan's Bowen park. 

The kids got to decorate their own plantable flower pots...

 plant flowers...

 learn about and do a butterfly life cycle craft...

 spin on the rope merry-go-round...or whatever you want to call it...

 climb like spiders on the rope net...

 slide on water-slide-like slides...

 make popsicle stick bird feeders...

 touch taxidermy animals that are native to the area...

make their own flower arrangements...

 ---and go on a nature hike

Cubmobile race - May 16

Clayton got to participate in the Cub scouts cubmobile race. It's essentially racing go-carts. How fun!

There was also a rock-climbing wall for the scouts (and siblings) to try. 

Star Wars Movie Night

In mid-May, we had a few of Clayton's friends over for a Star Wars movie night.  The boys ate pizza, and then watched Star Wars... well, about 5 minutes of Star Wars. They were having too much fun playing magna-tiles, dress-up,, and wrestling to watch the movie! 

Makenna's Farm Party

My niece Makenna had a farm birthday party and they brought the petting zoo and pony rides right to her house. How cool is that!??!
