Lake County Discovery Museum and a bike rides

The Lake County Discovery Museum in Wauconda has been on my list to take the kids for years. They are moving, so we wanted to make sure to visit the museum before it moved. The grounds and old buildings are really quite charming.

We got to look at what schoolhouses, toys, and chores looked like in the 1800s.

They had a special exhibit about Adlai Stevenson which was interesting to learn about.
I loved these international posters they had. Hmmm...where could I put these in my house...

A bike ride along the Des Plaines River trail.

and another ride to Dairy Dream...
